Former Hagar Student Picked As Rhodes Scholar
Mikaila Smith, a life-long Austinite and former student of ATA College Prep Director Carol Hagar who came to CP briefly in 7th and 8th grade, recently earned her spot as a Rhodes Scholar.
“I am so very proud of this little powerhouse!” Carol said.
Smith, a current University of Texas student, joins 31 other Americans from across the country who earned their spots over applicants from more than 320 American colleges and universities.
“Rhodes Scholars are chosen not only for their outstanding scholarly achievements, but for their character, commitment to others and to the common good, and for their potential for leadership in whatever domains their careers may lead.” (http://www.rhodesscholar.org/)
