ABOUT ESTEVAM

Estevam Strecker rejoins ATA College Prep as one of its sciences and math instructors.  He has a bachelor's degree from Auburn University in Exercise Science and a Master's degree in Exercise Physiology. A native of Novo Hamburgo, Brazil, Estevam graduated from Feevale High School in Brazil. During his  academic career in college, Estevam was named Academic All-SEC all 4 years as well as Academic All-American in 2001 and 2002. In 2002, Estevam was also awarded the Cliff Hare Award, the highest award given to a male student athlete in Auburn University, which is given to the male student athlete who best represents the school values that athletics make men strong, study makes men wise, and character makes men great. Coach Estevam’s high energy, intensity, and passion for academics and the game of tennis brings high standards and high expectations to the program helping young players succeed on and off the court. Coach Estevam believes in hard work and he combines his academic knowledge with his playing and coaching experience to help develop smart, all-around tennis players to become self-sufficient competitors. Coach Strecker is married to Lia Almeida and they have two sons, Rafael and Luca.
