We are so excited about having your family become part of the ATA community, or as Coach Newman likes to call it, the ATA Pack. While there’s always a lot to learn about being part of a new place, our hope is the information contained on this page will help you navigate more quickly and smoothly. Let’s begin with the who’s who.
- Jack Newman is the CEO and owner of Austin Tennis Academy

Get Plugged In
The best way to stay in the know about ATA and stay connected with ATA is to get plugged in to all its resources. We have a monthly newsletter which gets emailed out every month. It’s sent via mailchimp from the email media@austintennisacademy.com. To ensure you receive that monthly mailing, please send an email to media@austintennisacademy.com letting them know your child’s name and which program they attend so your email will be added to the mailing list. Be sure to mark media@austintennisacademy.com as a safe sender in your email browser.
ATA is very active on social media, and we encourage to ‘like’ and ‘follow’ each of ATA’s social media platforms ~ Facebook – Twitter – Instagram – Vimeo. Facebook and Instagram post recognition of our junior players, coaches, and instructors, lots of pictures, as well as information about upcoming ATA events. Twitter is where you will find live results for kids playing in tournaments that coaches and/or parents attend. Vimeo is the storage library where you can watch any and all videos created by EKH Media for ATA. Of course, you’ll also want to bookmark ATA’s website – it provides a treasure trove of information which is constantly being updated. You’ll find the latest news stories, as well as upcoming events and tournaments happening at ATA. Plus, there’s valuable information regarding ATA College Prep and its calendar of events.
Big Events
While ATA runs – and is the host site – for a lot of tournaments every year, we also put on a number of big events we want you to know about from the get-go.
- Little Mo Nationals – held each year in September
- Halloween Costume Party – annual event leading up to Halloween where the junior players get to dress up and even have the chance to win some cold, hard cash for ‘best-dressed’
- Shootout – ATA’s annual fundraising event for Austinn Athletics Scholarship Foundation
- Signing Ceremonies – these events are a rite of passage for players as they move from juniors into their collegiate tennis career
- ATA College Prep Graduation – commencement ceremony for those graduation from our private school, College Prep
- ATA End of Year Party – Academy Awards get handed out to ATA players at this soiree held every May
