Girls Pow Wow at Mendolas With Coach Kendall

Team building. Peer groups. Mentorship. Friendship. All of these are staples in the Austin Tennis Academy culture. Last week, Coach Kendall Brooks organized an evening of fun for all of the girls of the Academy. While it may have been the first time experiencing an event like this for many of the younger girls, Coach Kendall has been organizing them for years. Below are her comments and some pictures from the night.

"Last week, all the Academy girls and I went for a 'Girl's Pow-Wow' at Mandola's for dinner.  This was a great chance for all of the girls to get together and bond, JUST girls, outside of practice on the courts.  Lots of food was consumed and lots of fun was had.  We are going to try and plan one of these events monthly for the rest of the year.  I think it is important to foster personal relationships and strengthen the bond of the girls group in an environment where they can all let loose and enjoy themselves.  This will overall make the family environment that ATA is all about even stronger."
